ROTARY KELLY
Rotary kelly is one important piece of equipment to transmit the torsional energy from the rotary table to the drill string and ultimately to the bottom of the hole. The kelly's ability to perform this function over a prolonged period of time is a result of the mechanical properties of the steel and the specifications to which it is manufactured.
The kelly JerryMetals provides is made from one integral steel bar and machined from high-strength chromium molybdenum alloy steel with chemistries specially formulated for drilling tools. Each bar is heat treated along its entire length for uniform toughness and durability.
Rotary kelly is available with integral square kelly and integral hexagonal kelly in lengths of 37', 40', 46'. Maximum length is 54'. The kelly's mechanical performance are complied with API Spec.7-1.
