STABILIZER
The stabilizer is an important tool used to prevent from borehole deviation petroleum, natural gas, geological exploration and drilling engineering. When strong rigid drill collar is equipped with and large bit weight is given, the implementation of applicable stabilizer which reduces a rate of deviation and of azimuth can avoid the production of "dog leg" and will improve the well wall quality, drilling speed and reduces drilling costs.
Four kinds of abrasive materials for working surface for the stabilizer are available: a) Inserted hard alloy, b) Surface inserted diamond compound, c) Low temperature surface braziing tungsen carbide slug, d) Surface bead welding abrasive welding rod. The stabilizers' mechanical performance are complied with API Spec. 7-1. |
